Philip Rose landscapes was established in 1985

Previous to this I had spent twelve months working at Birmingham Botanical gardens before studying for twelve months at Pershore College of Horticulture in Worc's.

Upon completion of the course I gained a NCH (National Certificate in Horticulture) and then moved to York to work at Askham Bryan College for two and a half years.

From 1985 with a staff of two, the company has grown to a team of nine, fully supported by qualified specialist electricians, plumbers, joiners and bricklayers.

We are now able to offer students a years full time employment as part of their training from Askham Bryan College. We also offer modern apprenticeships for people wishing to work and study simultaneously. Recently we have been providing work experience for students from Europe.

All staff are fully qualified, or studying, and all have a genuine interest and knowledge of plants .

The company is now split between regular maintenance contracts and landscape design and construction. Whilst designing our own projects we also build exclusively for two other designers. Previous projects include the Merchant Adventurer's Hall replanting scheme and work on the York university science Park. As can be seen from our portfolio we have completed many private landscape contracts in York Leeds and Harrogate.

Having gained a Diploma in garden design from Askham Bryan college in 1996 we are more than qualified to offer a design and build service, or a construction service from your own plans.

As a company we are fully committed to providing a first class service, with the emphasis on quality and originality for the individual.
